Handmade Art Rag Doll Wool Felt Puppy Bone Quilt Bag Gift Home Decor

This is Bitsy, my soft cloth art rag doll with yellow yarn hair, puffy bloomers, and big feet. She wears a flowery dress with a giant pocket and carries a small bag with her Flat Pet puppy dog, a tiny bone, and a patchwork picnic quilt. Her face is hand painted. She wears fun shoes with dirt seed beads hand-stitched into wool soles. Everything is pieced with colorful, textural fabrics, beads, baubles, and bits.

Bitsy makes an excellent gift for many occasions: birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, graduations. She sits nicely on a shelf, table, mantel, dresser, or desktop surrounded by other home décor items. She has many small parts and pieces so unstructured play by very young children is not recommended.

Bitsy’s pets are named Flat Pets because they are relatively flat and fit nicely inside their mini carrier bags. Flat Pets are 100% hand sewn, soft wool felt dogs, puppies, cats, kitties, bunnies, bears, and other funny creatures that dwell in their own carrier bags.

Materials range from new, vintage, and antique cottons and linens to retro aprons from the 1930’s and up. There are silkies, wovens, wool, burlap, and even stained cheesecloth in a rainbow of solids, prints, and patterns. It takes many hours—at least twenty—to complete one doll. They are all unique and have different coordinated accessories.

SHIPPING: FREE shipping is offered on orders within the contiguous USA. If package is going to Alaska, Hawaii, or another US territory, additional shipping charges will be billed. I do not ship internationally. Items have been weighed, packaged, and are ready to go after payment is received unless otherwise noted.
